Some pesto or a dip of some sort would have been ideal with my Friters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">There was small selection of\u00a0 main courses, basically meat\/fish\u00a0with\u00a0some greens, so if you want pasta you need to order as a separate course.\u00a0 I ordered Pigeon, it was superb, tasty and moist &#8211; actually better than the Pigeon I had in\u00a0<a title=\"Cibreo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/?p=1068\" target=\"_self\">Cibr\u00e8o<\/a> in Florence which is a real compliment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I would have liked to have tried the Amaretto tart for dessert but they had ran out, so we\u00a0made do with some home made ice cream.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The wine list\u00a0included\u00a0several options by the glass and a range of reasonably priced bottles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The marketing for <a title=\"Alfies\" href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/?p=1647\" target=\"_self\">Alfies<\/a> a near neighbour to Zucca, describes Alfies as &#8220;a significant addition to Bermondsey&#8217;s burgeoning foodie scene&#8221;.\u00a0 That description did not fit Alfies, but does\u00a0most definately describe\u00a0Zucca.<\/p>\n<p>Marks out of 10<\/p>\n<p>Food 6.3<\/p>\n<p>Service 5<\/p>\n<p>Ambience 5.9<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE : Zucca has closed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Evening Standard and Time Out reviewers really rated Zucca, a new Italian in Bermondsey &#8211; see Review of the Reviews We tried it for Sunday lunch.
