{"id":8256,"date":"2010-05-01T10:37:46","date_gmt":"2010-05-01T09:37:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/noexpert.co.uk\/?p=8256"},"modified":"2010-08-08T13:41:36","modified_gmt":"2010-08-08T12:41:36","slug":"8256","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/?p=8256","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/IMAG0062.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-8093\" title=\"IMAG0062\" src=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/IMAG0062-300x46.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"46\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s coming in May.<\/p>\n<p>Off to\u00a0Barcelona again &#8211; Volcanic Ash cloud permitting!<\/p>\n<p>We have reservations at\u00a0two of Barcelona&#8217;s newest &#8220;hot&#8221; Hotel based restaurants, run by a couple of Spains top chefs, specifically:-<\/p>\n<p><strong><a title=\"W Hotel\" href=\"http:\/\/www.starwoodhotels.com\/whotels\/property\/overview\/index.html?propertyID=3183&amp;PS=EAME_Iberia_Google%20UK_3183_W%20Barcelona_Broad_Hotel%20W%20barcelona_aa_Starwood_Iberia_Google%20UK_3183_W%20Barcelona_Broad_Google_Hotel%20W%20barcelona_07022009\" target=\"_blank\">The W Hotel<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a title=\"Bravo 24\" href=\"http:\/\/www.w-barcelona.com\/en\/bravo-en\" target=\"_blank\">Bravo24<\/a>&#8221; restaurant &#8211; executive chef is\u00a0<a title=\"Projects 24\" href=\"http:\/\/www.projectes24.com\/\" target=\"_self\">Carles Abellan <\/a>who is also responsible for <a title=\"Comerc 24\" href=\"http:\/\/www.comerc24.com\/english\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Comerc 24<\/a>, our <a title=\"No Expert Awards 2009\" href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/?p=6659 \" target=\"_self\">No Expert Best of the Best award winner<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a title=\"Mandarin Oriental\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mandarinoriental.com\/barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Mandarin Oriental<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a title=\"Moments\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mandarinoriental.com\/barcelona\/dining\/moments\/\" target=\"_blank\">Moments restaurant<\/a>&#8221; &#8211; executive chef is <a title=\"Carme Ruscelleda\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ruscalleda.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Carme Ruscelleda<\/a>, from the 3 star Michelin restaurant San Pau in Sant Pol de Mer.<\/p>\n<p>We\u00a0 also plan to revisit an other Hotel based restaurant, the Roca brothers 1 Star Michelin\u00a0restaurant <a title=\"Moo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/?p=376 \" target=\"_self\">Moo<\/a> in the <a title=\"Hotel Omm\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hotelomm.es\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hotel Omm<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The other venues on our list include:-<\/p>\n<p>A possible return visit to\u00a0<a title=\"Bar Inopia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.barinopia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Inopia<\/a> &#8211; to see if it is as good as we remember.<\/p>\n<p>A return visit to <a title=\"Comerc 24\" href=\"http:\/\/www.comerc24.com\/english\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Comerc 24<\/a> &#8211; to see if it is still the <a title=\"No Expert Awards 2009\" href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/?p=6659 \" target=\"_self\">Best of the Best<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A return visit to <a title=\"Moovida\" href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/?p=3155\" target=\"_self\">Moovida<\/a>, <a title=\"Tram Tram\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tram-tram.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tram Tram<\/a> and\u00a0<a title=\"Cuines Santa Caterina\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cuinessantacaterina.com\" target=\"_blank\">Cuines Santa Caterina<\/a> &#8211; because we just couldn&#8217;t visit Barcelona without fitting them in.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; and if time permits checking out <a title=\"Monvinic\" href=\"http:\/\/www.monvinic.com\/\" target=\"_self\">Mon Vinic<\/a>. Basically we are doing a &#8220;gourmet&#8221; food marathon.<\/p>\n<p>Plus we will manage to squeeze in a few restaurants in London as well, such as <a title=\"The Capital\" href=\"http:\/\/www.capitalhotel.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Capital<\/a>. It will be interesting to see how it fairs under &#8220;newish&#8221; head chef J\u00e9r\u00f4me Ponchelle, compared to my last visit when\u00a0<a title=\"Eric Chavot\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Eric_Chavot\" target=\"_blank\">Eric Chavot <\/a>was running the kitchen. Other London Restaurants for May include <a title=\"Texture\" href=\"http:\/\/www.texture-restaurant.co.uk\/index.asp\" target=\"_blank\">Texture<\/a> , <a title=\"Murano\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gordonramsay.com\/murano\/\" target=\"_blank\">Murano<\/a> and the newly opened\u00a0<a title=\"Bar Boulud\" href=\"http:\/\/www.barboulud.com\/barbouludLondon.html\" target=\"_blank\">Bar Boulud<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What&#8217;s coming in May.
