(Closed)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">My first visit to the Michelin starred restaurant at <a title=\"Parc des Eaux Vives\" href=\"http:\/\/www.parcdeseauxvives.ch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Parc des Eaux Vives<\/a>, a small 5 star hotel on the shore of Lake Geneva was with some trepidation.\u00a0 After some disappointments on the culinary front in Switzerland I expected to spend too much money on mediocre food.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/IMG_33171.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-85 aligncenter\" title=\"IMG_3317\" src=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/IMG_33171-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3317\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/IMG_33171-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/IMG_33171-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/IMG_33171.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 85vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The table had been booked a month in advance for Saturday lunch time, we arrived at the beautiful venue, got escorted to the lovely dinning room and found we were actually the only guests, it did not bode well!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/Zurich-399.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-192\" title=\"Zurich 399\" src=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/Zurich-399-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"Zurich 399\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/Zurich-399-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/Zurich-399-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 85vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As soon as the amuse-bouche and the amazing seaweed bread arrived we knew we were on to a winner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/Zurich-396.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-75\" title=\"Zurich 396\" src=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/Zurich-396-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"Zurich 396\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/Zurich-396-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/Zurich-396-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 85vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We finished off a\u00a0delicious meal and moved to the terrace overlooking the gardens and the lake, taking time to enjoy a small bottle of <a title=\"About PX\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pedro_Xim%C3%A9nezl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PX <\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/IMG_3334.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-78\" title=\"IMG_3334\" src=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/IMG_3334-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3334\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/IMG_3334-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/IMG_3334-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/IMG_3334.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 85vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">So as the first experience was so\u00a0fabulous we returned, this time staying as guests in the Hotel and much too my surprise they had actually upped their game. The restaurant was still not full, just a few tables set up outside on the small terrace, which made for a lovely atmosphere. Oh yes and they upgraded us to a suite, so all round it ended up being great value for the money.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">UPDATE : March 2010 &#8211; This restaurant has sadly closed.
