{"id":563,"date":"2009-05-09T11:01:49","date_gmt":"2009-05-09T10:01:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/noexpert.co.uk\/?p=563"},"modified":"2021-10-31T19:13:55","modified_gmt":"2021-10-31T19:13:55","slug":"la-fourmi-ailee-cheap-and-cheerful-in-paris","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/?p=563","title":{"rendered":"La fourmi ail\u00e9e &#8211; cheap and cheerful in Paris!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">On the left bank near Notre-Dame in the heart of tourist territory, just round the corner from a whole batch of these awful restaurants with waiters outside trying to entice you in, you will find <a title=\"La Fourmi ailee\" href=\"http:\/\/www.premiumwanadoo.com\/parisresto\/Fourmi\/AccueilFourmi.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La fourmi ail\u00e9e<\/a>&#8211; the flying ant (8 rue du fouarre 75005), which is an entirely different proposition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It has been refurbished recently, and I am not so keen on the new decor (changed from looking like a cosy old library to a more modern\u00a0\u00a0diner style),\u00a0 but everything else is as good as it has always been. The clientele are still mainly students and canny tourists.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/fe.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1218\" title=\"fe\" src=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/fe-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"fe\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/fe-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/fe-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/fe.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 85vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The food is fresh and plentiful, and shock horror for Paris, the staff are friendly.
