There was a display of chocolate art and a number of stands. So sorry Thorntons we walked right passed your stand.<\/p>\n<p>From what we could see, there were two real standouts, they were both\u00a0relative newcomers in the field.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The first was <a title=\"Paul Wayne Gregory\" href=\"http:\/\/www.paulwaynegregory.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul Wayne Gregory<\/a> a former sous chef who also gave one of the talks, he is definitely going places with 9 of the chocolates in his selection being award winners. PWG is at the top of his game, he currently provides chocolates to Michelin star chef Gary Rhodes, and his latest addition a rum chocolate is stunning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Update: I have just tried another one of his chocolates &#8211; called &#8220;Space Dust&#8221;, superb!.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4851\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4851\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMGP2449.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4851\" title=\"IMGP2449\" src=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMGP2449-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMGP2449\" width=\"500\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMGP2449-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMGP2449-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMGP2449.JPG 1728w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 85vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4851\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PWGs slogan &#8211; Indulgence is everything<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The other standout was based in Leeds of all places, they were <a title=\"Lauden Chocolate\" href=\"http:\/\/www.laudenchocolate.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lauden Chocolates<\/a> who presented their selection in very simple but elegant transparent boxes. However the presentation alone would not have sold me on them, if they had not got the taste right.
