Another Chocolate Week.<\/p>\n<p>We finished the week with a visit to <a title=\"Chocolate Unwrapped\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chocolateweek.co.uk\/chocolate-unwrapped\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chocolate Unwrapped<\/a> at Vinopolis.\u00a0 This is its third year and it&#8217;s been getting bigger by the year. He was keen to tell us that he now has a boxed selection of his chocolates that is entirely made up of award winners.\u00a0 We also had some more of <a title=\"Duffys Chocolate\" href=\"http:\/\/redstarchocolate.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Duffys Chocolate<\/a> (their chocolate was used in both the chocolate dinners I went to during Chocolate Week at <a title=\"The Providores\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theprovidores.co.uk\/news\/news_2011.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Providores<\/a> and <a title=\"Almeida\" href=\"http:\/\/www.almeida-restaurant.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Almeida<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>I tried to find <a title=\"Lauden Chocolate\" href=\"http:\/\/www.laudenchocolate.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lauden Chocolates<\/a> (one of my favorites), but if they were there I missed them. I did spot a tweet from them saying they had such a good day on the Saturday that they had sold out, so perhaps they didn&#8217;t managed to restock for the Sunday session.\u00a0 <a title=\"Matcha Chocolat\" href=\"http:\/\/matchachocolat.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matcha Chocolat<\/a> another favorite from last year was also no where to be seen. \u00a0 However Chocolate Unwrapped for me is all about discovering something new.\u00a0 This year my discovery was <a title=\"Pacari Chocolate\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pacarichocolate.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pacari<\/a> Ecuadorian Organic Chocolate bars, specifically the Raw Chocolate with Salt &amp; Nibs (70% Cacao) and Lemongrass (60% Cacao) &#8211; this is seriously grown up chocolate.<\/p>\n<p>We had a quick chat with <a title=\"Paul Young\" href=\"http:\/\/www.paulayoung.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul A\u00a0Young<\/a> and on the recommendation of a friend I also bought some of his very distinctive Pumpkin flavoured chocolates.<\/p>\n<p>We were brave enough (or was that foolish enough) to\u00a0 try some chocolate wine too &#8211; it was an interesting novelty, but didn&#8217;t really work for me.<\/p>\n<p>The event seemed to have more of an International vibe this year, lots of French accents around.\u00a0 We also visited stands from Hungry, Switzerland and Italy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Top page - Noexpert.co.uk\" href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\">Return to top page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another Year.
