target=\"_self\">40|30 Restaurant at the Gherkin<\/a> was in January, long enough a gap in my view.\u00a0 So it was back again with a group of friends to enjoy a night out in the one of the\u00a0 &#8220;<a title=\"Coolest venue of the Noughties\" href=\"http:\/\/www.prestigeeventsguide.com\/cms\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=134&amp;Itemid=99999999&amp;limit=1&amp;limitstart=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COOLest venues of the Noughties<\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>So is it still &#8220;Cool&#8221;? &#8211; Absolutely.<\/p>\n<p>This place has substance and style, there is no question that 40|30 is continuing to alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>The menu was both interesting and varied, some classic food combinations and some more surprising ones.\u00a0 My main course of\u00a0 Pork belly with Black Pudding doughnuts was\u00a0 just stunning and the cheese cake with celery of all things, was another standout.<\/p>\n<p>For food of this calibre in such a world class location, 2 courses at \u00a339.50 and 3 courses at \u00a347.50 is such a good deal (especially as it includes an amuse bouche and a pre dessert).\u00a0 The wine list is extensive but there are sufficient bottles under \u00a340 to ensure that it is not too daunting.<\/p>\n<p>You could tell by the empty plates at our table just how much we all enjoyed the food.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
