{"id":10124,"date":"2010-06-14T12:56:28","date_gmt":"2010-06-14T11:56:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/noexpert.co.uk\/?p=10124"},"modified":"2021-10-31T19:27:52","modified_gmt":"2021-10-31T19:27:52","slug":"toast-food-wine-music-and-polo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\/?p=10124","title":{"rendered":"Toast &#8211; Food, Wine, Music and Polo!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Made the trek out to Ham Polo Club, to attend the 10th Anniversary <a title=\"Toast\" href=\"http:\/\/www.toastfestivals.co.uk\/ten\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Toast<\/a> New Zealand Event.\u00a0 It was a trek, 20 minutes on a very busy train to Richmond\u00a0from Waterloo, another 20 minutes on a packed local bus &#8211; seemed like all the Kiwi&#8217;s in London were heading for the event. I would have been horrified if I had paid for my ticket &#8211; ticket \u00a0prices were between \u00a320 and \u00a3150.\u00a0\u00a0 However there was live music and the weather was good.\u00a0 We stayed for about two and a half hours, which was two hours longer than we would have,\u00a0if we had not been lucky enough to grab a couple of seats\u00a0at one of the tables next to the stands and have a few glasses of a rather lovely Pinot Noir from the <a title=\"Save\u00e9 Sea - Louis Vavasour\" href=\"http:\/\/www.saveesea.co.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Save\u00e9 Sea Vineyards<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The highlight of the day was actually the walk back from Ham to Richmond.\u00a0 Next time I will just bring a picnic and find a good spot by the river.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This was a special one off Toast event, so not\u00a0100% typical, but based on my experience at this event and my friends experience at past Toast events.\u00a0 I would not recommend them if you are seriously into Food and Wine.\u00a0 Toast is really just somewhere to socialise with a group of friends and listen to the music, more a concert than a food event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Top page - Noexpert.co.uk\" href=\"https:\/\/www.noexpert.co.uk\/food\">Return to top page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Made the trek out to Ham Polo Club, to attend the 10th Anniversary Toast New Zealand Event.\u00a0 It was a trek, 20 minutes on a very busy train to Richmond\u00a0from Waterloo, another 20 minutes on a packed local bus &#8211; seemed like all the Kiwi&#8217;s in London were heading for the event.
